Liverpool managed to bring in a number of players during the summer transfer window as Jurgen Klopp strengthened in all the right areas.
The Reds look geared up for another European push and are on course for a potential Premier League title race, having made a strong start to proceedings. And, it looks as if they’re keeping tabs on an in-demand midfielder, as according to the Daily Star, Liverpool have sent scouts to top up their dossier on Atletico Madrid’s Gelson Martins.
Indeed, Gelson Martins has earned rave reviews in just his few months in Spain and put Premier League clubs on alert, with Liverpool sending scouts out to top up their dossier on the Portuguese midfielder.
However, the likes of Everton, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have also sent sent scouts out, so there could be a bidding war in the offing at some point in the future.
The Reds already have one of the most dangerous attacks in the whole of world football but they are lacking quality cover if one of their star men became injured, so keeping tabs on Martins ahead of a potential move in the future makes perfect sense.
Indeed, the Merseyside club are able to offer Champions League football and Klopp has already managed to develop Mohamed Salah into a star at Anfield, so there’s plenty of incentives for the Portuguese international.
