There aren’t many MK Dons fans in the Football Transfer Tavern but the ones that do come here are bracing themselves for a Premier League attack.
The Express claim that Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal all have their eyes on Dons starlet Dele Alli.
Alli was a key player in the Dons’ chase for the League One play-offs this season and although they came up short in the end, it hasn’t stopped eyes being cast over the squad.
And with seven goals and four assists this campaign, Alli is certainly at the forefront of any of the League One potential buys.
The England Under-18 international midfielder has been dubbed the new Steven Gerrard so it’s no surprise that some of the Premier Leagues’ biggest names are on alert.
Dons boss Karl Robinson has described the youngster as the hottest prospect he has ever worked with after handing him his debut in the 2012/13 season.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has a good relationship with Robinson and attended the Dons’ 3-3 FA Cup draw with Wigan Athletic to scout the player.
Chelsea and Arsenal are also interested in bringing him to the club but Alli could be swayed by Liverpool’s handling of Raheem Sterling.
Sterling was a bit-part player last season but his rise through the ranks has seen him become and ever-present for the Anfield club this season.
