The Liverpool Echo suggests that new boss Jurgen Klopp is considering ending Lazar Markovic’s loan spell with Fenerbahce in January, bringing the Serbian back to Merseyside to play a part in his plans for a new-look Liverpool.
Markovic struggled with the Reds after signing for £20m from Benfica, scoring three goals in 23 appearances as his relationship with Rodgers was difficult- as the Northern Irishman continuously played him out of position.
However, Klopp is a fan of the 21-year-old and he could hand Markovic a quick route back into the Liverpool set-up; after it emerged that the Reds possess the option to end the Serbian’s stint with Fenerbahce prematurely.
Liverpool fans at the pool tables are open to the possibility of Markovic returning, stating that they’ve kept a close-eye on the youngster and believe he has impressed during his short-time in Turkey.
