Lazar Markovic time at Liverpool will be one that he wants to forget.
The Serbia international arrived for a fee of £22.5million when Brendan Rodgers was in charge, per Transfermarkt, and there was a huge amount of expectation about the player at Anfield.
However, things clearly have not worked out as the 24-year-old would have hoped.
Markovic has made just 19 appearances for Liverpool in the Premier League and has spent a number of loan spells away from the club.
However, it is understood that there is very limited interest in the winger, with that being rumoured to have come from China.
Markovic had the chance to leave Liverpool in the summer, however, he rejected the chance to rejoin Anderlecht on loan once again.
Markovic’s time at Liverpool is expected to be coming to an end – although it remains to be seen whether that will be this month or in the summer.
With limited interest in the player, it would appear that the Reds will need to see him leave for nothing in the summer.
The 24-year-old has been banished from training with the first-team and is clearly deemed to be surplus to requirements under Jurgen Klopp.
