BBC Sport have managed to attract the interest of both Manchester United and Liverpool fans as they seem to think that Liverpool have made a £12.5 million bid for Clyne.
The Southampton right back has been heavily linked with an exit from the south coast club this summer and with giants like United and Liverpool eyeing up bids for the player, it is little wonder.
Now it seems that Brendan Rodgers has made his opening offer for the player, who will be a replacement for Glen Johnson – so really, he doesn’t even have that much to live up to – and as one of our punters notes, United will be irked should they miss out on the player but it will not be the end of the world for Louis van Gaal, who seems to have bigger fish to fry in the summer market.
Liverpool fans. Do you think Clyne really is the man to take the team forward and who can live up to his reputation despite being so young? Let us know your thoughts below!
