Premier League club Liverpool have reportedly made contact with League One club Coventry City over the possibility of signing sought-after midfielder James Maddison, according to The Express.
The Liverpool supporting punters have been pretty quiet in the Tavern throughout the day with little happening at Anfield, neither incoming or outgoing, although this signing may appease some.
The 19-year-old is not likely to move to the Reds until the summer but could attempt to secure the signing and then loan the player back to Coventry for the rest of the season.
Maddison has been the subject of high praise from the Sky Blues supporters in the Tavern this season and one slightly drunk punter is busy telling the landlord just how good a player the youngster can be if he continues his current progression rate.
A Liverpool fan is busy paying his bar tab and is pleased to see Liverpool targeting top youngsters and would welcome the arrival of such a bright, young talent into his club.
Liverpool fans… Would you be happy with this signing? Coventry City fans… Tell us how good this kid can be!
