The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are unsure on Daniel Sturridge’s future at the club.
He has fallen down the pecking order this season under Jurgen Klopp with the German preferring Roberto Firmino spearheading his attack.
And according to The Sun, Daniel Sturridge will be allowed to leave Liverpool this January on a loan deal.
Klopp is planning his season without the England international and Sturridge knows that he needs game time to make the World Cup this summer.
With game time hard to come by at Anfield, the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker is now looking for a club to take him on a half-season temporary deal.
The 28-year-old has fallen behind Jamie Vardy, Tammy Abraham and Harry Kane in the pecking order in Gareth Southgate’s squad and he is now facing a battle to earn a call up for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
A number of clubs are likely to be interested in signing Sturridge on loan with AC Milan among the reported potential suitors.
West Ham have shown an interest in the past and could swoop for him if Andy Carroll or Diafra Sakho departs in January while Newcastle United are in the market for a new striker.
I think that a move to Newcastle would do Sturridge good.
He would be the star man in that side and if he hits his top form and stays clear of injuries, his goals would keep the Magpies up.
Sturridge needs to join a club where he would be the top marksman and he would be playing week in, week out.
