Premier League fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are not entirely convinced by the latest comments coming out of Juventus.
The Daily Star are reporting that Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba are both ‘happy’ to stay with the Italian club, despite interest from the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea.
The Premier League giants have been sniffing around the pair all summer, with Chelsea and Manchester United both keen on Pogba, whilst Liverpool are reportedly looking to rival United for the signature of Chilean World Cup star Vidal.
But new Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri used his press conference during Juve’s tour of Asia and Indonesia to play down talk of the pair leaving the club this summer.
He said: “Vidal and Pogba are very happy to be here and I am very happy to coach them.”
Allegri is the new man in charge of the Old Lady following the shock resignation of Antoinio Conte.
There was speculation that the managerial change could lead to moves for both Vidal and Pogba, but the latter has in fact offered words of praise for the new man in charge.
He said: “The difference between Conte and Allegri? They are two of the greatest coaches, with both the feeling was good and pretty immediate.
“We are motivated, ready to work well with Allegri. Conte has gone and now there is Allegri. We met recently, we talked a little over the weekend, we are ready to work together with absolute harmony.
“I am very happy to play for Juve, I am just focused on work at this moment. The future does not concern me, I live in the present.
“I am not thinking of the contract and do not have meetings scheduled with Agnelli or Marotta.”
