After the news emerged yesterday from Spanish website Okdiario that Liverpool ace Roberto Firmino may be the next player to make the move from Anfield to Barcelona's Camp Nou, it was very worrying news for fans of the club.

The club have already seen stars Luis Suárez and Philippe Coutinho leave for the Spanish giants in recent years, and have seemed powerless to do anything about it.

This may sound bizarre, but the key is in this situation that Liverpool let him leave. There is rarely no smoke without fire, and these rumours are unlikely to die down.

When a player wants to leave a club, their relationship can turn sour as they try and force a move to their new club. The very thing happened to Coutinho whilst at Anfield. There is no point trying to stop these deals with such powerful clubs, because they invariably happen.

So if these rumours do prove to be true, the best that Liverpool can do is get the best of the Brazilian before he goes, be it in the summer or even in January. There's no point having the player at the club when he is reluctant to play, so they should just try and use him as much as possible and keep him happy.

The added bonus as well is that the club will receive a fairly sizeable sum for the forward which can go towards replacing him. Of course fans will not want the club to constantly be searching for new stars, but they may be powerless to anything else.
