Liverpool need to reconsider Simon Mignolet stance

Liverpool have spent big this summer as they look to improve their squad ahead of the Premier League campaign.

Jurgen Klopp is desperate to ensure his team remain competitive over the duration of a long season and has made a number of crucial signings to give the Reds a chance.

The Anfield outfit have added Alisson Becker to their ranks, as well as Danny Ward, Fabinho and Naby Keita, however, it appears the arrival of the Brazil international will result in a departure for one of their other stars.

According to a report in the Liverpool Echo, the club are looking to offload Simon Mignolet but will need to reconsider how they can get him off their books.

The report claims that Liverpool may need to reduce their asking price or even consider letting the Belgium international leave on loan as permanent moves are proving difficult to happen.

Barcelona and Besiktas are thought to hold an interest in the 30-year-old, however, a move has failed to materialise yet.

The Verdict:

Liverpool will be keen to offload Mignolet this summer and the goalkeeper himself will be desperate to restart his career.

His time at Anfield has looked to be over for some time, having seen Loris Karius take over in January and is prepared to consider his options for the future.

He will now be hoping the club can come to an agreement with a potential suitor before the start of the season, otherwise, he will be facing another couple of frustrating months at Anfield.
