It appears that one man that has been linked with a move to Liverpool as a January target will not be making that switch any time soon.
Lucas Paqueta, who has been starring for Flamengo and has earned himself two international caps with Brazil, had been rumoured to have emerged as a potential player that Jurgen Klopp would look at signing this summer.
It had been claimed that the Reds were considering to make a move with Paqueta’s agent thought to have travelled to Anfield in order to discuss a possible deal for his client.
With Liverpool appearing to pave the way, it is now believed the Brazilian will be joining AC Milan in the near future.
It does seem that Paqueta will not be a Liverpool player any time soon as the club have distanced themselves from the rumours.
Despite reports having been made that the agent had visited the club to discuss a potential agreement, the club appeared perplexed with the links and have stated they have no interest in him.
The 21-year-old could have been a great addition for Klopp’s side as he is a skilful talent that has plenty of flair to offer, making him an attacking and creative threat going forward.
