Liverpool open talks to hijack Italian side’s £4m midfielder deal

kloppmndLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for a busy summer under Jurgen Klopp and he’s continuing with his early business, having already secured early deals.

The Reds are already set to welcome Marko Grujic and Joel Matip to Anfield this summer, with deals agreed earlier this year, whilst Lorius Karius has also been signed, and The Daily Mail claims Klopp’s next target is Anderlecht’s exciting teenager Samuel Bastien.

19-year-old Bastien has spent the season on-loan to Serie B outfit Avellino, who have an option to purchase him on a permanent basis, but Liverpool have opened talks with the teenager and are preparing to hijack the transfer.

Bastien is a highly-rated, skilful midfielder and Liverpool want to bolster their options with the signature of the youngster, although it’s debatable how much of a role the young talent will have in Liverpool’s talented squad.

Klopp’s record of signing relatively unknown players and developing them into superstars speaks volumes though, with our landlord believing that’s his best chance of success on Merseyside.

How many players will Klopp sign at Liverpool this summer? Let us know in the comments below!
