The Daily Star have our regulars in the Football Transfer Tavern looking up and looking a little bit confused after claiming that Liverpool have NO plans to send Fabio Borini out on loan come January.
As one of our punters notes, the Italian forward had been trailed by Sunderland and QPR in the summer who would certainly be keen on a loan deal – if not a permanent move.
The former Chelsea and Roma forward came very close to leaving the Reds in the summer and we are still unsure that there is a place for him in Brendan Rodgers’ first team plans.
Borini’s agent, Marco De Marchi claimed: “At this moment I am certainly not going to look for another club, as the boy is happy to remain at Liverpool. Let’s not forget he left a journey he already started at Roma in order to come to England.
“Liverpool have no intention of loaning him out, as they already proved in August. We know that and so do all the clubs who came looking for him in the last transfer session.”
Our punters still think that despite working his way into the starting eleven at times this season, Borini will drop down the pecking order further once the Reds buy another forward.
