Liverpool plot bid for European starlet

LiverpoolLiverpool fans at the Transfer Tavern are often discussing the business they need to do in January- and it appears that behind the scenes on Merseyside similar talks are taking place.

The Reds have endured an inconsistent start to the season, which include a defeat to rivals Manchester United and a disappointing draw with Norwich City, but they did secure a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa yesterday.

According to The Sun on Sunday, Liverpool are plotting an revived approach for an old target; as they look to bring 20-year-old Croatian midfielder Marko Rog in from Dinamo Zagreb.

The Reds made an approach for Rog over the summer, when he played for Split, but a £4m move to Dinamo Zagreb eventually took place- and the Croatian side are demanding double that amount for the player in January, say The Metro.

Liverpool fans may be concerned that this player doesn’t sound like the high-calibre addition the Reds need but they just need to look at United’s Anthony Martial to see what a breath of fresh talent can do.

Liverpool supporters, is this the sort of business you’re looking for your club to do in January?
