The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are not enjoying 2017 so far…
Despite impressing during the early stages of the 2016/17 season, Liverpool have really come off the rails since the turn of the year. Without a Premier League win in weeks, Liverpool’s title challenge looks to have fallen apart – and the Reds in the Tavern are devastated.
However, for all of Jurgen Klopp’s qualities, he can only do so much – and it seems obvious that Liverpool’s squad is simply not good enough. A decent core group of players, what the Reds lack is strength in depth – and it would appear as though Jurgen Klopp is looking to solve that issue in the summer.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool are targeting Leicester City winger Demarai Gray, with Jurgen Klopp plotting a transfer spree over the summer.
The Daily Mail note that Gray is one of a number of players that Liverpool want to sign, with a focus on signing 2 wingers a priority for Jurgen Klopp.
Whilst not necessarily a high profile name, Gray’s form and accomplishments over the last few years speak for themselves. A Premier League winner with Leicester City, Gray also won a host of awards during his developmental tenure at Birmingham City – and the winger is really starting to live up to those expectations.
Gray has made 18 appearances for the Foxes so far this season, mostly as a substitute – and has scored once and assisted twice.
