Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have made their frustrations known in regards to their bipolar season, as they state at times their club has made one step forward and two steps back.
The bar was shocked at the weekend as struggling Newcastle United secured a 2-0 victory over the Reds, just days after Liverpool had hit Southampton for six in the League Cup.
It’s that lack of consistency that Jurgen Klopp will have to fix in January, his first transfer window as Reds boss, and it seems he’ll become the latest manager to attempt to fix the Reds attack.
The Daily Star states Liverpool are preparing an £18m swoop for out-of-favour Fiorentina striker Giuseppe Rossi, who has Premier League experience having previously played for Manchester United.
Rossi missed the entirety of last season through injury had has struggled to reclaim a spot in Florence this season, despite boasting a tremendous record of 115 goals in 275 appearances throughout his career.
That goal tally is impressive but our fans are concerned that their club continuously splashes cash on strikers, with the latest big-money addition being £32m Christian Benteke in the summer.
Liverpool fans, do you need another expensive striking addition? Let us know in the comments below!
