So after another hectic weekend of Premier League action, the main talking point in the Football Transfer is that if Liverpool win their remaining six games they will be crowned Premier League champions.
It’s been a remarkable season for Brendan Rodgers’ side and now Reds fans are already looking forward to a productive summer in the transfer market as Champions League football returns to Anfield.
The Mirror report that Liverpool are lining up a double swoop for Napoli pair Gokhan Inler and Valon Behrami and could use keeper Pepe Reina as a deal sweetener.
The Serie A outfit value the Swiss international midfielders at a combined cost of about £15 million but the Reds believe they can reduce the asking fee by making Reina’s loan permanent at the end of the season.
The Spanish international has spent the campaign with Rafael Benitez’s side and it is thought that the Italian giants want to make it a permanent move in the summer.
Reina, who was replaced by Simon Mignolet at Anfield, is thought to be worth about £6.5 million and could see the duo’s price dramatically reduced.
Can you see Reina being the key to unlocking this potential double transfer? Let us know your thoughts below.
