Liverpool fans are looking up with interest here in the Football Transfer Tavern as French publication RMC claim that the Reds could well be set to make a £12 million bid to bring Radamel Falcao to the club on loan.
Brendan Rodgers has been searching for a replacement for Luis Saurez all summer and it seems that he is willing to splash some major cash on a player who is not even guaranteed to join on a permanent basis.
That being said, as one of our punters points out, the Columbian is a world class forward and one who is looking to move back to a club which attracts top crowds and has a huge fan base – and they do not get much bigger than that of Liverpool.
With Champions League football also back at Anfield, there is no reason why the Reds cannot attract top players. They have the money do so – and the ambition to challenge for titles as well.
