Liverpool ready to seal transfer for Borussia Dortmund man

SuboticLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing what the future holds for them under their new boss, which everyone and their nan believes will be Jurgen Klopp.

Former Borussia Dortmund boss Klopp is believed to be the preferred predecessor to Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked on Sunday after the 1-1 draw with Everton, and the German could be announced imminently.

Following this, CalcioMercato are reporting that one of Klopp’s old guard from Dortmund will follow suit; as the Reds line-up a January move to make Nevan Subotic the first of the German’s signings at Anfield.

The 26-year-old is a firm favourite of Klopp, who managed him at Mainz before bringing him to Dortmund, although Liverpool fans will be praying he can pull-off the seemingly impossible and lure Subotic’s defensive partner Mats Hummels to the North West.

Whilst our regulars are dreaming of that move, a transfer for Subotic seems more realistic and would provide a much-needed boost to Liverpool’s frail defensive line.

Liverpool fans, is Nevan Subotic a decent January target? Let us know in the comments below!
