James Boylan from the Metro has put down his pork scratchings to declare that Brendan Rodgers is keen to bring in reinforcements in attack with Luis Suarez the only fit first team striker at the club and the in-form marksman looks an increasingly attractive possibility.
The Spanish striker has been in outstanding form this season with 13 goals for the Swans since arriving from Rayo Vallecano during the summer for only £2 million.
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has already stated that he values the forward at £30m in an attempt to warn off interested parties but despite this, it is still thought that Liverpool are preparing a bid of around £10m to try to secure the striker.
Rodgers has already poached midfielder Joe Allen from his former club and now Michu may be next in line to make the switch to Merseyside.
Boylan also suggests that Brendan Rodgers is a keen admirer of Chelsea’s Daniel Sturridge although his £80,000-per-week wage demands could prevent a deal while Theo Walcott and former Anfield youngster Tom Ince remain other possible options.
