Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern aren’t in the greatest of moods this afternoon after sitting through a drab 0-0 draw with Bundesliga minnows FC Augsburg last night but positive reports continue to surface on the transfer front.
Spanish outlet Fichajes states that Liverpool are considering meeting the £6.3m release-clause of Real Betis goalkeeper Antonio Adan this summer, as the club continue to search for replacements for the under-par Simon Mignolet.
The Reds have been linked with a host of goalkeepers since Jurgen Klopp took over, despite handing Mignolet a new long-term deal, and 28-year-old Adan is the latest name on that shortlist, with the experienced stopper capable of providing competition to the Belgian stopper.
Liverpool have shown signs of improvements since Klopp replaced Brendan Rodgers but the telling task comes in the summer, where our landlord believes the Reds need wholesale changes if they are to compete for a spot in the top-four.
