There is good news for Swansea City fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by The Sun that their keeper Michel Vorm is set to snub a move to Liverpool and stay with the high flying side.
The Dutchman has been linked with a move away more than once this season and Liverpool have certainly not been the only club who have taken a glance at the stopper. Having been in tip top form for the Swans in the league this term, it comes as no shock that big clubs are looking at the keeper and along with Michu and Ashley Williams, there are certainly some wanted men in South Wales this season.
Vorm himself noted that: “The comments that came out of the interview from the Dutch press have been lost in translation.
“They asked me about Brendan and I said I enjoyed working under him. Of course I did, he was the man that brought me here and we had a successful season.
“But I did not say I wanted to go to Liverpool or anywhere else — I am very happy here at Swansea.
“Not once have I told my agent or the chairman Huw Jenkins that I want to leave here.”
Not only that but the 29-year-old went on to profess his love for the club and indeed their up and coming campaign in Europe claiming that: “I’ve played European football before and it will be great for everyone at this club — the players, staff, directors, supporters and also the city of Swansea.
“Everyone is looking forward to being a part of that adventure.”
