Liverpool refusing to sell £20m misfit, claim European giant

Lazar Markovic Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been left debating whether their side is making a good call regarding one misfit, as they try their luck on the fruit machine.

The Independent cites claims that Fenerbahce have stated they have no chance of landing loanee Lazar Markovic on a permanent deal, as Liverpool will not part ways with the forgotten winger.

Markovic joined Liverpool in 2014 for a substantial fee of £20m but failed to impress at Anfield, being loaned to the Turkish giants for the season. He’s impressed on the continent but Fenerbahce have stated even an offer of £20m will not convince the Reds to sell.

It suggests that Markovic will be given a second chance at Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp, following the player’s fall-out with previous manager Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool have kept close-eyes on the player during his time in Turkey and will have been impressed by his performances but the Scousers in the bar aren’t convinced he has what it takes to become a key-part of their squad.

Does Markovic have a future at Liverpool? Is he good enough? Let us know in the comments below!
