Liverpool reject offer from Premier League side for excelling forward

Jerome SinclairOur landlord is getting rumours given to him from all different sources today and he’s got a fresh round of beers to accompany the story he’s telling to fans of Liverpool and Watford.

The Daily Mail report that Liverpool have rejected an offer from Jerome Sinclair from Watford, with the Reds continuing to adopt a firm stance with the forward.

Watford fans have been eagerly gathering in the Tavern waiting excitedly for news of incoming transfers but, unfortunately for them, at this moment there is no deal- and it’s unlikely to be completed today.

Liverpool value the youth international at around £3million and it is believed that Watford’s offer fell well short of that valuation for the young striker.

Sinclair has rejected a new contract at Anfield and unless they can resolve this he will leave Liverpool in the summer, with the player himself keen on a new challenge.

Watford may yet still try again before tonight’s deadline to land the young player, though should they fail Sinclair will still be able to discuss a pre-contractual agreement with sides outside of England.

Sinclair is the youngest player to play for Liverpool making his debut against West Brom at aged just 16 years and six days but is frustrated at his lack of first team chances since making that initial breakthrough.

Watford and Liverpool fans have your say……Watford fans would you like to see this young striker sign for your club? Should you match the valuation set by Liverpool? Or risk competing for him in the summer? Leave your comments in the box below.
