Liverpool are determined to keep hold of their star players this summer, amid concern that some have attracted unwanted interest and has started to worry fans in the Transfer Tavern.
The Reds lost Philippe Couthino last January due to pressure from the player wanting to go to Barcelona, however, they appeared to cope fine with his departure as the squad reached the Champions League final without him.
Mohamed Salah has shone for Jurgen Klopp’s side in his first season at Anfield and rumours have already speculated that Real Madrid are considering to make a mega-money move for the player this summer.
Liverpool are adamant that he will not be sold, however, they themselves are interested in bringing a number of players to Merseyside who could cost them a fortune, money that they do not currently have.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele, who has appeared as one of the Red’s latest targets, would not be in the Premier League’s price range should they keep the Egypt international beyond the summer.
The Liverpool locals in the Tavern would be disappointed not to see Salah at Anfield next season and will hope they can do enough to keep the Premier League Player of the Year at the club for as many years as possible.
The locals will look for the Merseyside outfit to offload deadweight to help fund their transfer targets this summer, although Dembele may not be a realistic target for Klopp’s side.
