Liverpool reopen talks for Xherdan Shaqiri

Liverpool have made a couple of signings already this summer to strengthen their squad and could be about to make another addition that would further help them remain competitive.

Jurgen Klopp is looking to build on a year that had seen his side get to a Champions League final, however, he is looking at making his team as strong as possible.

The Reds have already been successful in recruiting in their midfield area, with Naby Keita and Fabinho and it looks as though the club could be about to add an attacker.

According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Liverpool have opened talks with Stoke City about a move for Xherdan Shaqiri. The Switzerland international is thought to have a release clause of around £13.5million and the Anfield outfit are looking to secure a deal for him.

The winger is determined to leave the Potters this summer following their relegation from the Premier League and is thought to be keen on a move to the Reds.

The Verdict:

Shaqiri would be a smart signing for Liverpool this summer if they were able to bring him from Stoke. A move would appear to be on the cards as he is thought to be keen on the move and would be considered a bargain buy for just £13.5m.
