Liverpool managed to open a three points gap over Manchester City earlier on today as they put in a dominant performance against Bournemouth at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp won't accept anymore slip-ups from here on in until the end of the season as Manchester City have looked deadly in recent times, having reduced Liverpool's lead at the top considerably.

With the title race aside, the Reds appear to already have one eye on the summer transfer window, as according to Ian McGarry on the Transfer Window Podcast (via Daily Star), Liverpool have enquired about the possibility of signing Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne in the summer transfer window.

The Italian is arguably one of the most dangerous attackers in world football, as his pace and dribbling ability has caused even the best of defences problems over the years. And, the 27-year-old has even managed to find the back of the net an impressive 11 times this season, with six assists to his name as well.

One player who Liverpool are yet to replace at Anfield is Philippe Coutinho after he left to join Barcelona back in January of last year. Indeed, the Reds have operated with three central midfielders in the current campaign but pushing one slightly forward into an attacking midfield role would make things a million times better.

It's safe to say that the Napoli attacker would be the dream replacement for the Brazilian as he possesses everything that you want in an attacker and more. He would fit perfectly into Liverpool's fast paced build-up play and is used to playing one-touch football, with his quickness and speed making him almost impossible to tackle.

Insigne can operate pretty much anywhere across the front three, with the ability to drift inside and take up a position in behind the striker, just like Coutinho did. Both players have a number of things in common, with pace, skill, an incredible dribbling ability and long-range strikes making them very dangerous attacking assets.

Liverpool supporters would soon forget about their former golden boy if the Italian arrives.
