There has been a lot of talks of transfers amongst the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern in recent weeks, but as of yet, there has been very little action…
That could be about to change, though, with Egyptian publication Yallakora reporting that the Reds have made another money-spinning bid as they look to seal a deal for Egypt international Mohamed Salah. According to Yallakora, Liverpool have upped their £40 million (£35.2 million) move to £45 million (£39.7 million) – with the Reds clearly keen to get a deal done. It is noted that the increased offer will come in the form of incentivised payments, whilst Roma are said to be keen to land around €50 million (£44.1 million).
It remains to be seen whether this deal will be accepted, but clearly Liverpool want to get this deal done. Their offer is still below the expectations of Roma, but it does fall somewhere in the middle of Liverpool’s estimations and their demands – so our landlord thinks that this deal could well get done this summer.
Indeed, the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that it does, with many dreaming of an attacking line made up of Salah and Sadio Mane – with the lethal pace of the duo enough to give any opposition defence nightmares.
Still, there is a lot of work for Liverpool to do this summer, with the Reds still yet to seal any deals. A high-profile apology to Southampton over their courting of Virgil van Dijk has put all of Liverpool’s actions under the microscope, and so Klopp and co will not be able to get away with a poor summer.
