Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern will be expecting the club to bring in some new additions this season regardless of if they win the Champions League and could be set for an emotional reunion.
The Daily Mirror are claiming the Anfield outfit are interested in bringing Pepe Reina back to the club following a stint in Italy and Germany, but there has not been a bid at this present moment for the Spaniard.
The shot-stopper has been number one for Napoli since 2015, having enjoyed a loan spell at Bayern Munich as well, however, Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing him back to add to his eight-year association with the Merseysiders.
The media outlet, however, are claiming he would be brought in to help guide Loris Kauris, rather than to replace him, as they still have their eyes set on AS Roma’s Alisson, although, they fear they could be priced out of a move for the Brazil international.
The Liverpool fans in the Tavern would welcome Reina back with open arms after he had eight successful years with the club and would be happy for him to work with their current number one to help him improve.
The locals would rather see Alisson arrive and replace Karius, however, the German has improved significantly and has been impressive as he took the spot from Simon Mingolet earlier in the season.
