Liverpool set to finalise £35M deal for 25-year-old Egyptian winger

The Liverpool fans were an extremely happy group of supporters last season as the Reds clinched a top four finish and secured a place in next season’s Champions League.

The ardent army of supporters are now extremely hopeful that the club doesn’t get left behind by their rivals in this summer’s transfer window and they are hopeful that a few stellar recruits will switch to the club in the coming weeks.

Some positive news has emerged from the landlord’s copy of The Mail on Sunday, who are reporting that Liverpool are close to putting the lid on a £35 million deal for Roma star Mohamed Salah.

The 25-year-old flopped at Chelsea but the Egyptian revived his career in Italy and netted 19 goals for Roma last season as they finished runners-up to champions Juventus.

The Italian club are keen to flog players this summer as they look to stay within the Financial Fair Play boundaries and Salah looks set to be one of the most high profile departures.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will naturally be keen to recruit players who fit into his style of high pressing football and the all-action, energetic style of Salah will make him a solid signing for the Reds.

One Liverpool supporter is enjoying a cup of tea here in the Tavern as he tries to get rid of an almighty hangover. He believes that Salah will be perfect for Klopp’s style of football, stating that he hopes his arrival is the start of a glut of new recruits at Anfield.

Liverpool fans, are you happy to get this deal over the line? Let us know in the comments below!!!
