Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been stunned by the early moves so far this summer and now Metro has revealed that Brendan Rodgers is targeting Italian youngster Davide Zappacosta.
Punters in the Tavern do not know much about the Atalanta defender, but they do know he was part of Italy’s Under-21 side which put England out of the European Championships on Wednesday.
The Reds have supposedly agreed a fee in the region of £12.5m for the youngster.
He plays right back which has left some people confused, considering they are on the verge of landing Nathaniel Clyne.
But punters are convinced that the former Swansea boss is bringing him to Anfield to add competition and depth to this area of the team.
The 23-year-old is also wanted by teams in Serie A, with Torino and Fiorentina, both battling it out to land his signature.
