Liverpool set to lose out in race for Isak Hansen-Aaroen

Liverpool have been one of the form teams in the Premier League this season and they faced one of their toughest challenges yet prior to the international break, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Reds are a force to be reckoned with under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp, but supporters will be hoping that Mohamed Salah can find his feet in front of goal. Sadly, the Merseyside club received some negative news recently, as according to Sun Sport, Manchester United are set to beat Liverpool for the signing of Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

Manchester United are poised to pip Liverpool and Everton for the signing of the 14-year-old.

The midfielder is currently earning rave reviews for hometown club Tromso, which has sparked interest from the three Premier League clubs.

Hansen-Aaroen has already had spells on trial with the Red Devils, as well as both Merseyside clubs, but it is Jose Mourinho’s side who are leading the race to nab him.

Tromso sporting director Svein-Morten Johansen had this to say:

“We have had very positive discussions with Manchester United

“Of course there is a long way to go, but we are working well with Isak’s family about an agreement.”

THE VERDICT:

The Norwegian prodigy could grow up to become one of the best midfielders in world football, so it comes as no surprise that three Premier League clubs are interested. Although, the Reds will be gutted that Manchester United are currently leading the race, as he could really prosper under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp.

Indeed, after seeing the likes of Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold develop at Anfield, bringing another youngster to the club would do no harm.
