Liverpool set to rival Real Madrid for German International forward this summer

Marco ReusMarco Reus is the name on the lips of all the Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern today, coming off the back of AS reports that the Reds are ready to lock horns with rival suitor’s Real Madrid and offer £41.9 million for the Dortmund talisman this summer.

With the exodus out of the German outfit including Lewandowski, Gotze and now Klopp over the past few seasons, to see Reus go would be a massive blow.

And it is therefore likely to take a large proportion of the cash Liverpool received for the sale of Sterling, to prize Reus away from the club he has seemed so dedicated to.

One of our loyal drinkers here in the Transfer Tavern who is a die hard Anfield supporter had his say: “Reus would be exactly what we need to get back in the top 4, I wouldn’t mind how much it costs – lets not have that Sterling money wasted on average players, one marquee signing is what I want to see”.

The landlord of the Transfer Tavern also seemed keen on this rumour: “He is as good if not better than Suarez, no questions asked”.

Liverpool Fans do you agree with this Tavern regular? Would you mind overpaying for someone of Reus’ quality? Will he snub Brendan Rodgers? Let us know what you think will happen below!
