Premier League club Liverpool have agreed a deal in principal to sign Anderlecht teenager Samuel Bastien, who will become Jurgen Klopp’s fourth summer signing, according Italian news outlet Irpinia News.
The talented midfielder will join the Anfield-based outfit once he returns from his close season holiday and the Reds had been closely monitoring his progress during a loan spell with Serie B outfit Avellino last season.
The contingent of Liverpool supporters here in the Transfer Tavern were delighted with the progress made under Jurgen Klopp last season, with the group hopeful of making a real fist of getting into the top four next season.
The 19-year-old has made just a solitary appearance for his parent club Anderlecht but he is seen as one of Europe’s brightest young talents, with Liverpool now hoping they can nurture him into a top player.
Despite his tender years he has already collected a cap for the Belgium Under-21s and moves to Liverpool looking to establish himself firmly in the first-team picture.
