Brendan Rodgers has got Liverpool fans excited in the Football Transfer Tavern as he plots a bid to sign Marseilles forward, who could be available on a free transfer, as he looks to add more firepower to the Reds.
According to Daily Star, Liverpool are lining up a bid to sign Andre Ayew from the French club after his summer signing, Mario Balotelli, continues to disappoint him.
The Italian has also frustrated the thousands in the terraces at Anfield and they are hoping that the arrival of Ayew will bring an added dimension to their attack with his electrifying pace.
The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract, meaning Rodgers could draft him in from the Ligue 1 club on a free transfer.
The Ghanaian will bring in much needed support upfront as they have struggled this season due to numerous injuries to Daniel Sturridge.
Making the transition to life without Luis Suarez has been much harder than expected, but in the future Rodgers will hope that summer signing Divock Origi will return from his loan spell at Lille at the end of the season sharp and hungry to fight for a place in the first team next season.
