Liverpool romped to victory yesterday, taking the spoils with a 3-0 win over Southampton to send the Anfield crowd home happy on the return from the international break.
Manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to spend some more money in January and further improve his squad, with a defender surely top of the list, while the addition of further front players would also be a welcomed boost for the Reds.
Our punters here in the Tavern have been having some beers with our landlord this week, and talk has already turned to January and who the Reds could look to sign to strengthen the ranks. One player who kept getting a mention was former Chelsea star and German international Andre Schurrle.
The forward has been on the periphery of proceedings this season for current club Borussia Dortmund, but is a player who possesses bags of ability and plenty of experience for someone who is still only in his mid-20’s.
Liverpool do have plenty of pace going forward and in wide areas, but there is no harm in adding someone in the mould of Schurrle, who has proven at numerous levels he is a more than capable performer.
If Liverpool want to further add firepower to their already exciting attacking line up, then the addition of Schurrle could be a shrewd one, and the chance to work with Jurgen Klopp could be something the player himself finds too good to turn down.
Liverpool fans, what do you think to Schurrle? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
