Liverpool will face an interesting summer this season, with manager Jurgen Klopp getting his team ready for an assault on the Champions League next season.
The Reds finally find themselves back where their fans feel they belong, and the five time winners of Europe’s premier competition will no doubt be hoping to make it trophy number six by the end of the 17/18 campaign.
Our landlord has been offering up some free pints for our regular Liverpool fans here in the Tavern, and they have been lapping up the good nature at the bar this week. However, talk has soon turned to the summer, and just who the club should be looking to bring in during the transfer window.
One player who has been mentioned by our gaffer is current Man United and England defender Luke Shaw, who is enduring a frustrating time of things at Old Trafford since his £30m move from Southampton two seasons ago.
Shaw looks to have all the potential in the world, but there have been differing factors which have contributed to him not quite getting going at Old Trafford, and a move this summer could be the best thing for him.
While controversial, a move for Liverpool might be the making of Shaw. The club are in desperate need of a left back, and if he can remain fit, he would have the chance to make the spot his own.
Liverpool fans, what do you think? Would you take Shaw? Let us know in the comments!
