Liverpool have once again added some top talent to their squad this summer as manager Jurgen Klopp prepares his team for life back in the Champions League.
The German manager has moved to add the likes of Mo Salah to his ranks, offering his side some much needed pace and guile in attacking areas ahead of what looks set to be another exciting campaign on Merseyside.
Our landlord here in the Tavern though thinks that the Reds need to add more to their squad if they are to maintain their challenge on all fronts. The club have been linked all summer with a move for Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk, but with that deal still looking some way off, they club could look to turn their attentions elsewhere.
And one player our landlord thinks could do a job at Anfield is current Dortmund defender Marc Bartra.
The 26-year-old former Barcelona star has been in impressive form since moving to the Bundesliga. His classy demeanor on the ball added to his natural ability to defender first and foremost, make him an excellent player to have as part of your back four.
Liverpool often struggled at the back last season and signing someone like Bartra could well be the ideal sort of signing needed to add much needed steel and quality across the back four. His ability to play in all positions in the back-line also make him an attractive signing, meaning Klopp would be able to shuffle his pack with Bartra involved.
Liverpool fans, what do you think to this? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
