Liverpool should look to secure a move for this dependable Watford centre-back

Liverpool remain firmly on course for a top four place in the Premier League and manager Jurgen Klopp will be delighted to have guided his team to that all important Champions League spot for 2017/18.

The German manager will know though that there is work to do in terms of strengthening his squad this summer, with the midweek European games bound to take their toll on squad strength and fitness.

Our landlord always loves having the Liverpool fans here in the Tavern, and this week has been no different. Over by the dartboard, the Reds fans have been in firm discussions with our gaffer about the summer transfer window, and just who the club could look to sign and move on.

One player who Liverpool could look to sign who could do a job is Watford defender Sebastian Prodl, who has had another excellent and consistent campaign in the Premier League despite the Hornets struggling.

The big Austrian has the ability to dominate strikers and has looked at ease against some of the league’s best at times this year, and he could well be someone who Klopp might look to sign.

Prodl would not break the bank, would welcome a move to a so called bigger club, and at 29, has enough experience to adapt to the pressure of playing at Anfield.

Liverpool fans, what do you think? Would you welcome Prodl? Let us know in the comments!
