Liverpool should sign this £54m-rated attacker in January to take their attack to the next level – agreed?

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been impressed with their side’s attack this season. The duo of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane have been a joy to watch down the flanks, whilst Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino have led the way through the middle. Indeed, the attack is Liverpool’s strongest area, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be improved.

To the contrary, the January transfer window offers a chance for this attack to get even better, and our landlord thinks that the perfect acquisition could come in the form of Lorenzo Insigne. Currently playing for Napoli, the attacking midfielder could be the man to take Liverpool’s attack to the next level.

He’s been a regular for Napoli this season, and he has been simply prolific. With 5 goals and 4 assists already, the nine goals that he has directly been involved with this season have fired the Italian side to the top of Serie A. Insigne has been so important to their continued rise in Italy.

He’d be able to have a similar impact at Anfield, too. Offering pace, passing, dribbling, goals and exceptional technique, the Italian is a top talent. What’s more, at just 26-years-old, he’s still getting better and better by the week.

Rated at £54 million by Transfer Markt, he wouldn’t be a cheap signing, but as Liverpool saw with Mo Salah, investment certainly pays off.
