Liverpool should target this £10m-rated Danish World Cup star to tighten their defence up

Liverpool are making big splashes in the transfer market this summer and manager Jurgen Klopp will be hoping to see the club finally land a trophy next term.

Challenging for the Premier League will also be a key objective for the German, and our Liverpool fans here in the Tavern are desperate to see the club finally land a first Premier League title following last season’s Champions League final loss.

With plenty of attacking talent on display, and new signings adding to that, our landlord thinks that the Reds should be looking to add some more defensive reinforcements to the ranks.

One player who has been impressing for a number of years and in this summer’s World Cup is Denmark and Sevilla defender Simon Kjaer.

The big defender, valued at a cool £10m by Transfermarkt, Kjaer has impressed with some dominating performances for the Spanish club, form which he has taken into the summer with his country as they have made it into the second round.

Kjaer has long been mentioned by some as someone they feel could make the grade in the Premier League, and a partnership next to Virgil Van Dijk is something which could well appeal to the Liverpool manager and fans.

Good with the ball, strong in the air, and good positionally, Kjaer would be a superb addition to the Reds for next season.

Liverpool fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
