According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Galatasaray are interested in signing Divock Origi on loan this month.

The Belgium international has made just one Premier League start this season, and is almost guaranteed to not start many more should he stay for the rest of the season.

With Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mané being the favoured attackers under Jürgen Klopp this season, as well as Daniel Sturridge and Xherdan Shaqiri also being on the books, Origi knows that he will not get much game time.

Therefore, the Turkish giants can offer the 23-year-old a lifeline and give him more game time for the second half of the season, which is ultimately what someone of his age will want in order to impress fans and managers.

However, there must be a growing feeling at Anfield that the striker is never going to make the grade. Under Klopp, Liverpool have got better and better season upon season, while Origi has not shown a great amount of improvement. The club are moving further and further away from him and he will struggle to keep up. This is not just a problem that he is facing, but surely other figures such as Adam Lallana and even Sturridge as well.

The Reds should seriously think as to whether a loan deal is the best option here, or whether selling him permanently would be wiser. The longer he sits on the sidelines, the more his value will decrease, and with a club like Galatasaray happy to splash the cash, they could take advantage.
