Liverpool continued to put the pressure on Manchester City with another fine Premier League win this afternoon.

Goals from Sadio Mane and Mo Salah ensured the Reds saw off Chelsea at Anfield and moved back into top spot, once again putting the ball back in Man City's court with their game in hand still to come.

The win for the Reds though shows that they are right in the mix and not willing to simply let City walk their way to the title, and it was the sort of win today that we have seen champions of yesteryear pull out of the bag on their way to success.

Under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have developed a relentless style of play that is often too much for their opponents to deal with, and but for a 10 minute wobble once going two up today, the Reds were more or less comfortable throughout.

There is of course a long way to go in terms of someone snatching the title for certain, but a loss today and you would have had to assume that was enough for City to have the gap needed to finally see Liverpool off in what has been a brilliant race at the top.

Klopp and his players deserve an enormous amount of credit for handling the pressure the way they have, and even if they don't end up with their hands on the famous trophy come May, you can rest assured that this is a Liverpool team that is here to stay in terms of challenging for honours.
