There are some unhappy Liverpool fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern after the Daily Mirror claimed that Luis Suarez may have agreed personal terms ahead of a switch to Barcelona.
This is according to Spanish publication Sport, who seem to think that Barcelona are set on landing the player and have made an offer that the Uruguayan forward deems acceptable.
Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers and Liverpool are resigned to having to fight to keep the player – but after his latest antics, would be willing to let him leave for £80 million – no less.
Suarez will push through a move if needed and as one of our punters notes over a couple of pints and game of pool, the ex-Ajax forward may claim to like Liverpool and their fans, but at the end of the day he is selfish and will do what it takes to land a move to his dream league.
Quite what Barcelona have offered Suarez remains to be seen, but one thing that we do know is to land him, Barcelona will have to offer significantly more to the Reds.
Liverpool fans. Is it time to get rid and let a player who constantly disgraces your club leave if the price is right? Let us know your thoughts below.
