Well, we are starting to, and it seems that we could have him in the Premier League for a little while longer according to the Daily Mirror.
The Uruguayan forward looked like being on his way out of Anfield in the summer and we even thought that a winter move was on the cards, with the striker’s form making him one of the hottest properties in Europe.
Real Madrid are tracking the player as are fellow La Liga side Barcelona but Suarez seems keen to stay on Merseyside at least for the time being.
Earlier this week, we were talking about the contract extension Liverpool were keen to offer the striker and now it seems he may well be willing to put pen to paper on the deal.
Suarez spoke about the Reds’ fans and their love for him, noting that they were the major factor in him settling and feeling happy in England, despite the problems he has faced both on and off the field.
He noted: “After so many difficult moments for me I was able to win the supporters back, and that was unbelievable when I came back to play.
“They helped me, and that was important for me, for my confidence, and for my family, because they are together with me in this.”
He also spoke about the importance of keeping the squad together, claiming: “It’s very important that we stay together, we keep going. This is very important.
“If Liverpool don’t have these players I cannot continue my level, because it’s too much.
“They know I am important, so they try everything to stay together. That’s important for me, but it’s more important for the club.”
Liverpool fans. Is it as simple as this? Secure Champions League football and Suarez stays? Let us know your thoughts below.
