The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern are fearing the worst this season…
The Reds have had a very mixed start to the campaign, and whilst Jurgen Klopp’s side have enjoyed sporadic moments of brilliance, they have, for the most part, struggled.
In truth, it’s already looking to be too soon for Liverpool to return to the top, with several key areas still lacking quality.
However, one spot that could see a massive upgrade next summer is the attack, with a recent report from the Mirror giving rise to a selection of very excited Liverpool fans.
According to the Mirror, Liverpool are set to join Arsenal in moving for Thomas Lemar once again next summer, with the Frenchman potentially available at the end of the campaign.
Liverpool, it is said, have a long-standing interest in the winger, and given how impressive he has been, it’s no real surprise.
Rated at £27 million by Transfer Markt, Lemar is one of Europe’s finest attacking midfielders, and there is no doubting that he would improve the Reds’ attack.
In truth, an attack made up of the likes of Lemar, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah would be frightening, and that would make the club a real threat going forward.
Of course, a move won’t be easy to come by, but if Klopp needs more quality – look no further than Lemar.
Lemar is so talented, though it remains to be seen where he could fit in. Liverpool aren’t short of attacking depth, and so perhaps his arrival could foresee the departure of Philippe Coutinho.
That is pure speculation, of course, and if he is available, the Reds shouldn’t let anything blur their vision – they should definitely make their move.
