Liverpool star striker Daniel Sturridge has rubbished claims that he is set to leave the Reds in the summer and has instead delighted the Liverpool faithful here in the Transfer Tavern, by outlining his intention to stay with the club.
Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly been interested in the player although it now seems that the ex-Chelsea player will stick with the Anfield-based club.
The striker netted his 50th goal for Liverpool in Wednesday’s 4-0 rout of Everton and has now turned his attentions towards a century of strikes in the red of Liverpool, according to his quotes in the landlord’s copy of the Mirror.
He said: ” I have done well so far for the club, but I won’t lie the next aim is to reach 100 goals. Now the 50th has gone in it’s onto the next game and hopefully I can add to that.”
One Liverpool fan is sat in the Tavern with his burger and a pint meal deal and he thinks Sturridge is integral to any success that the club might have in the future, stating that Jurgen Klopp could be just the man to get the very best out of the striker.
Liverpool fans, would you welcome the extended stay of Sturridge? How quickly will he reach the magic target of 100?
