Liverpool striker set to leave Anfield and head back to Serie A

BoriniA few rumours flying around the Transfer Tavern today regarding Liverpool Football Club and the potential departure of one of their front men.

Fabio Borini has failed to establish himself as anything close to a first team player under Brendan Rodgers, and now it looks like the young Italian is set for a move back to his home country.

The Daily Star are reporting that Inter Milan are still interested in the 24-year old, who has previously had spells for AS Roma and Parma in the top tier of Italian football.

Despite a lack of progress with any deal, the publication reports that the Inter Milan hierachy are still keen to press on with a deal as they look to bolster their attacking options of the upcoming campaign.

Fabio Borini has only managed to score twice in a total of 25 league appearances for the Merseyside club, but Inter would surely be hoping he would come good if allowed to ply his trade in his native country.

Our resident Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern feel that it is time Borini departed the club, as it is clear he is not in the first-team plans of Brendan Rodgers.
