Liverpool striker targeted by Premier League club

daniel sturridgeLiverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern were furious yesterday as they blew a two-goal lead against a struggling Sunderland side and they’ve told our bar staff their club needs a massive summer.

Whilst many big signings could be made, there’s also scope for some high profile departures and The Daily Star says Newcastle United are looking to make a move for Daniel Sturridge this summer.

Sturridge is frustrated at Anfield due to criticisms on his fitness and injury record, whilst Jurgen Klopp is ready to offload a striker that has struggled to find regular fitness for the past few years.

Due to those constant injury problems, Klopp will accept a sale of the England international should an offer in the region of £30m be made.

Newcastle, who were busy in January with the additions of Jonjo Shelvey and Andros Townsend, will look to complete further signings at the end of the season as they aim to fire themselves up the league standings.

Our landlord believes Sturridge will leave this summer but can’t see the player rocking up at Tyneside anytime soon.

Liverpool fans, would you offload Sturridge? Let us know in the comments below!
