Liverpool superstar could leave in January

coutinhoooLiverpool fans are concerned by the latest reports they’ve read here in the Transfer Tavern, which indicate their star-man could leave earlier than originally feared.

Sport claim Philippe Coutinho could leave Liverpool for Barcelona in the New Year, whilst The Mirror declares Real Madrid are ready to challenge their great rivals for the signature of the Brazilian midfielder.

Barcelona are said to be lining-up a £30m swoop in January, which Coutinho is keen on as he would link-up with close friend and compatriot Neymar.

Our Liverpool regulars have come to terms with the fact that Coutinho is likely to move in 2016 but thought they could last until the summer, which is crucial as Liverpool face a tough battle to return to Champions League football.

Without Coutinho they would struggle to secure a spot in Europe’s elite competition, whilst the Brazilian would be certain to move next summer if Liverpool don’t grab themselves a top-four spot.

Liverpool fans, how long can you truly keep hold of Philippe Coutinho for? Let us know in the comments below!
